Welcome to the London Scottish Regimental Association
The home of former serving members of the Regiment
About the London Scottish Regimental Association
We are a Regimental Association of all those who served in A (London Scottish) Company, The London Regiment, G (London Scottish) Company 1/51st Highland Volunteers and The London Scottish Regiment, to support social intercourse. The London Scottish Regiment Association serves existing and former regimental colleagues and friends in supporting the aims and objectives of the regiment, its standards and history. Association members meet regularly and support current serving and former serving members. The LondonScottish Regiment was formed in 1859 and less than six months later, at the beginning of 1860, the Pipes and Drums began to form, making them one of the oldest Pipe Bands in the world and the oldest to still be playing in the uniform of its inception. The Regiment has a long history and prides itself with the social and supportive ethos that it has in making sure present and past members are supported as part
of an extended family.Asociations Key Purpose:
• Promotion of the Association as the surviving London Scottish entity and custodian of the Regimental history and traditions.
• Engagement with our membership through regular communication and arrangement of social events to encourage our members to gather and re-build the London Scottish ethos.
• Growth of our membership with particular focus on reaching out to those who served under the London Scottish cap badge from the ‘90s to the 2000s.
• Maintaining our links to our wider friends and families such as those previous London Scottish cadets, the Toronto Scottish Regt, and the village of Messines.
• Keeping our unique history alive with battlefield tours to key London Scottish historical events commencing with Messines in 2024
• Continued support to G (Messines) Coy, SG as the direct successor to the London Scottish cap badge and exploring where we, the Association, can offer to assist the new generation of Reserve soldiers.
